Toto, We are in Kansas

Lauren & Casey

I am so grateful to do what I love, and to continuously work with amazing couples, who are down to earth, and who adore one another. I had been looking forward to this wedding for months. After Lauren & Casey's engagement session, I knew I was in for a lot of fun, and a lot of love at their wedding. My second shooter and I ( the amazing, wonderful, Seng) drove to Hays, KS. I wasn't sure how the 4 hour drive would go, but it FLEW by. Maybe it was the good conversation (thanks Seng) or maybe it was my obsession with every abandoned building, old farm and church we drove past. I saw about a dozen churches I plan to road trip to and explore with my camera in tow. There is something so special about being in the midst of untouched history, or gently touched rather :-)

Casey had one of the most amazing reactions to his stunning bride. Yes, I teared up, and am admittedly a 'softy'. Post wedding we traveled to an abandoned 'city' (think amusement park-ish) for fun portraits. This place made me seriously gitty. There was definitely a spooky feeling about it all, but thank goodness it was broad daylight, and I was surrounded by a group of lovely people. Their reception was held at an old theater called The Fox, and this too was just plain amazing. I am thrilled I was able to be a part of Lauren & Casey's big day & I wish them both endless happiness together.
